Surgeon Takes Arthroscopic Techniques to New Level

Dr. Stephen Ducey specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder and knee. He has had much success treating many sports injuries, including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair and shoulder stabilization procedures. Advantages of arthroscopic surgery include very small incisions, less pain, faster recovery and a greater ability to return to previous activities.

Dr. Ducey also performs highly specialized procedures such as shoulder replacement surgery and realignment procedures of the knee cap (patella). Dr. Ducey has expertise in hip arthroscopy, an emerging field in sports medicine. This can allow patients to avoid major surgical reconstruction of the hip joint.
